On the edge of the Leslie Harrison Reservoir in Burbank, on Brisbane's south-east side, Cherbon Waters is a private property that also runs horse riding. Vows take place on the lawn above the water or in the lakeside gazebo, which doubles as the rain option. Receptions are held in a permanent silk-lined marquee with sandstone floor, chandeliers, timber dance floor and bar, seating up to 160 at rounds or 200 at long tables, and it can be extended for larger groups. Menus run to four courses including canapés, with vegan options. Drinks are BYO with bar staff and glassware supplied. Confetti is not allowed, and viewings are by appointment.
